Official Trailer for 'Moneyball' with Brad Pitt

Moneyball Trailer
"They call it Moneyball - it won't work." A second trailer for Bennett Miller's Moneyball, the adaptation of Michael Lewis' baseball novel, recently showed up via TheMovieBox (we're hoping a high res version hits soon, too). Moneyball stars Brad Pitt as Oakland A's manager Billy Beane and Jonah Hill as the young mastermind behind the numbers. I loved the first trailer for this movie, and we featured a TV spot recently, but this second trailer has some brand new footage, with lots we've seen before. We also finally get to see Philip Seymour Hoffman speak a line! This is certainly one of my most anticipated films to see this fall.

The story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane's (Brad Pitt) successful attempt to put together a winning baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft a roster of players.
Moneyball is directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Bennett Miller, of The Cruise and Capote previously. The screenplay was written/rewritten by Oscar winning writers Steven Zaillian (Clear and Present Danger, Gangs of New York, American Gangster) and Aaron Sorkin (A Few Good Men, Charlie Wilson's War, The Social Network), originally based on Michael Lewis' nonfiction book. Columbia Pictures will be bringing Moneyball to theaters starting on September 23rd this fall, right near the end of the 2011 baseball season.
